We build, fund, and support programs within our four impact areas: education, benevolence, citizenship, and support.
The programs below are how they show up in practice. Most of this help reaches people through partners who already know them, so it usually comes by referral rather than a public application.

Leadership training & development
Helping people lead with authenticity, whether or not they hold a formal title.
Leadership is not reserved for the person with the title. We offer strategic planning, mentoring, and coaching for senior leaders in nonprofit organizations, along with workplace leadership training for people who lead without any formal authority to lean on. It is meant for nonprofit leaders and for anyone building leadership skills in community and workplace settings.
The training itself runs in three course streams.

Mentorship & coaching
Someone in your corner, and the skills that come with it.
Most people grow because somebody took an interest in them. These programs are built around that: developing strong character, taking responsibility for your own growth, working through the ordinary challenges of life, and using whatever influence you have in a way that leaves your community better.
In practice that covers positive mentoring, financial literacy, health and wellness guidance, educational and career guidance, communication, decision-making, and active listening.

Relief of poverty
Food, clothing, and the basics, for families who are short of them.
Food and clothing are needs that cannot wait, and there are organizations here already answering them well. We fund that work rather than handing things out ourselves, because those partners know the families and the neighbourhoods far better than we do. Help reaches people through those organizations.

Scholarships & bursaries
Help with the cost, so a student can keep going.
Money should not be the reason a student stops short. We support secondary and post-secondary scholarships connected to Christian education, along with bursaries for students from at-risk communities. Program partners who know a family well refer them to us, and we consider each situation on its own terms.

Transitional residential assistance
A steady place to live while life is being rebuilt.
Finishing a recovery program is a hopeful moment, and housing is often the piece that decides how the next year goes. This assistance is for women graduating from a faith-based addiction-recovery program. Our recovery-program partners refer participants, and a rent subsidy keeps housing affordable while they find their footing.

Community grants
Support for organizations already doing good work in our community.
Some of the best work in Windsor is already being done by people who have been at it for years. We fund organizations working in education, poverty relief, health and wellness, and life skills, and we pay attention to what actually changes for the people they serve. That has covered tutoring and post-secondary guidance, food and clothing, physical and mental-health support, help connected to out-of-town cancer care, and life skills from financial literacy through to decision-making.
We are always glad to learn about good work happening nearby, though GFF does not run an open grant application cycle.

Leadership training
Three streams of leadership development.
Our leadership training and development work is delivered through three courses. Each one is built for a different setting, and all three start from the same conviction: leadership is character before it is title.
I
Where Faith and Work Connect™
The course explores what it means to see work as an assignment from God, and challenges participants to bring greater intentionality, integrity, and reverence to the way they lead, serve, make decisions, and relate to others in the workplace. Participants learn to connect what they believe on Sunday with how they show up Monday.
II
PurposeDriven™ Leadership
Primarily facilitated, cohort-based experiences, designed to develop character-rooted, purpose-driven leaders who lead from identity and influence from trust. They are grounded in formation, not information, and centre around multiplication: developing leaders who will, in turn, develop others.

Supporting young people and vulnerable communities
Young people do better when there is somewhere safe to be and an adult worth listening to. Across several programs and partnerships, we support safe community spaces, health and wellness guidance, financial literacy, educational and career guidance, and positive mentoring.
