Program Highlight: MH100

A profile of MH100 and its work with young people, built on mentorship, practical skills, personal responsibility, and a real connection to the community.

MH100 foundation was created by Mehari Hagos.

The mission statement of the MH 100 program is “We aim to help participants, not only to get fit but also to fit into the community.”

For example, kids learn nutrition, financial literacy and the value of hard work. In addition Kicks for Kids, an annual program that has donated more than 6,000 pairs of shoes to kids who need them is provided yearly. The drive of the organization is to help kids live an impactful life despite living in neighbourhoods filled with violence, crime, and drugs which are some of the experiences Mehari Hagos dealt with while growing up in Glengarry.
