O. Desmond Griffiths, a distinguished individual, has a remarkable background in both athletics and in business management. As a former athlete, Desmond showcased extraordinary talent competing in both the 100m and 200m disciplines for Canada at the national and international level. During his time competing Desmond achieved a major milestone of competing at both the 1986 World Junior Championships and 1986 PAN AM Games which is not an easy feat of itself.
Desmond’s educational journey includes obtaining a Master’s degree in Business Administration credentials from the esteemed University of Windsor. Today, Desmond has over 25 years of experience serving on the boards of both Private Equity and Non-Profit organizations. An extremely well versed businessman with exceptional experience in strategic planning, leadership development, financial management, team-based execution, and the establishment of culture.
Desmond Griffiths stands as a shining example of an individual dedicated to perfecting their craft in both athletics and their profession. His contribution to both the world of Track and Field and post-track and field career serves as an inspiration to us all as we strive to create a more inclusive and harmonious society.
